Access to the Claude model is finally open. We explain what you need to know about Anthropic’s new release and how the crypto community is responding.
On June 10, 2026, Anthropic opened general access to its Claude Fable 5 model and provided Claude Mythos 5 to a limited group of partners through Project Glasswing. Fable 5 is now the company’s most powerful public model. Mythos 5 operates with partially relaxed safety restrictions.

Anthropic positions Fable 5 as a model that outperforms previous versions in programming, analysis, image processing, and scientific tasks. It is particularly effective at handling long, complex assignments. The model is available via API and enterprise plans. Until June 22, 2026, Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise subscribers can use it for free. After that, access will require a credit system.
To reduce risks, Fable 5 redirects requests related to cybersecurity, biology, chemistry, and model distillation to the less powerful Claude Opus 4.8. Anthropic says this safety mechanism triggers in less than 5% of sessions. Pricing is $10 per million input tokens and $50 per million output tokens.

Limited Access to Mythos 5
Claude Mythos 5 uses the same base architecture as Fable 5 but with weakened safety mechanisms. Access initially went to Project Glasswing members, a joint initiative between Anthropic and the US government. The company plans to eventually offer the model to vetted researchers in biology and cybersecurity. Anthropic notes that Mythos 5 achieves record-breaking performance in vulnerability discovery and scientific research.
Anthropic Director of Developer Relations Boris Cherny called the Fable 5 release the company’s most significant leap since Opus 4.5 launched in November 2025. The model is moving from a simple coding tool to a full-fledged product design partner.

Crypto Community Reaction
The release has raised concerns among crypto market participants. Venture investor Simon Dedic warned that the new models reduce the cost and complexity of finding smart contract vulnerabilities to nearly zero. He recommended that users revoke wallet approvals, minimize funds held in protocols, and move assets to hardware wallets.
What Mythos Means for Crypto Markets
Analysts note that models of this caliber could accelerate both vulnerability discovery by defenders and potential attacks. Anthropic acknowledges that its Mythos-class models have reached a threshold where the risks of abuse become significant. The company continues to develop safety measures to address those risks.
