Ethereum Foundation Stakes 22,517 ETH Worth $46 Million

The Ethereum Foundation (EF) transferred 22,517 ETH$1,638.24 to the Beacon Chain deposit contract. This marks the foundation’s largest single staking operation to date.

According to Arkham Intelligence, the transaction occurred on March 30, 2026, at approximately 1:38 AM US Eastern Time. Following the transfer, the foundation’s treasury retains roughly 147,471 ETH, valued at about $302 million.

The foundation began actively staking part of its holdings last month. This aligns with the updated treasury policy announced in 2025. The goal is to generate additional yield to fund protocol development, ecosystem growth, and grant programs.

BitMine’s Staking Platform

BitMine previously launched the Made in America Validator Network (MAVAN), an institutional staking platform for Ethereum. The platform originally served the company’s internal needs but is now open to large investors, custodians, and exchanges.

BitMine ranks among the largest ETH holders. At the time of writing, it has staked more than 3.14 million ETH, worth approximately $6.8 billion. Company chairman Tom Lee stated that after MAVAN fully launches, the company could become one of the largest staking platforms globally.

Expected annual staking yields range from 2.75 to 2.83 percent. BitMine manages a total of 4.6 million ETH, representing nearly 4 percent of Ethereum’s total supply.

As of March 30, 2026, Ethereum trades around $2,050 to $2,060. The price showed moderate growth over the past 24 hours, though the past week saw volatility with an overall decline.
