Specter Hack: $2.5M Stolen
Unknown attackers hacked the Specter project and withdrew approximately $2.5M. The attack occurred about 19 hours ago.
The hackers exploited a vulnerability and minted 99 million TSR tokens. They then instantly dumped nearly the entire amount on the market, crashing the token’s price by 100%.

The proceeds, about 2.5 million USDT▲$0.9986, were converted to Ethereum (ETH) and partially laundered through Tornado Cash, with 1,285.5 ETH▼$1,812.70 already processed.
PeckShield and other analysts have confirmed the attack details. At the time of publication, most of the stolen funds are still in motion.

DxSale: Another Blow to BNB Chain
A few days earlier, another major incident occurred on the same network. Hackers breached the DxSale protocol and stole $7.3M from more than 1,400 liquidity pools that had been locked since 2021.
Analysts from Eye and PeckShield noted suspicious signs. The attacker’s address had direct historical links to DxSale team wallets, raising serious suspicions of a possible insider attack or private key leak. The attackers used a hidden backdoor, conducted over 80 transactions to mask their tracks, and withdrew funds primarily in BNB to Binance addresses.
Overall Picture
Both hacks occurred on BNB Chain and affected old smart contracts. Total damages over several days exceeded $9.8M.
Experts note that old DeFi protocols remain one of the most vulnerable parts of the ecosystem. Many projects launched in 2021-2022 have outdated code and insufficient protection, making them easy targets for hackers.
