Kalshi has launched a U.S. midterms hub combining live prediction-market odds with polling, as political betting picks up ahead of November.
Prediction market exchange Kalshi is making a new push into U.S. politics with a new portal built around live odds for Senate, House and gubernatorial races, Reuters reports.
The now portal would give users a single place to compare traditional campaign data with prices generated by traders betting real money on political outcomes, the New York-based prediction market exchange said on Wednesday.

As opposed to polls, which are a direct measure of what voters reveal to the pollster, the markets of Kalshi provide a measure of what people think may happen when they themselves have something to lose.
In addition to all this data, the hub features poll averages from VoteHub, an election data platform, fundraising information from the Federal Election Commission, the U.S. campaign finance regulator, as well as previous election results and campaign news.
Betting on a Bigger Political Role
Launch is yet another try by prediction markets to become a reliable source of information for elections instead of just becoming a venue where people make bets.
Kalshi co-founder Tarek Mansour has argued that market prices can capture the “wisdom of the crowds,” while the company said campaigns could use the hub to see what is actually shifting perceptions without waiting for the next poll.
Still, critics have warned that prices on prediction markets can be manipulated, potentially shaping public perceptions rather than merely measuring them.
Political betting has grown rapidly since Kalshi won a court fight that allowed it to offer election contracts shortly before the 2024 presidential vote.
