Visa unveiled a new solution called Intelligent Commerce Connect.
The collaboration between Visa and Intelligent Commerce Connect simplifies integration with AI commerce. It opens access to so-called agentic payments — transactions that autonomous AI agents make on behalf of users.

The solution is part of Visa’s Intelligent Commerce portfolio. It is already testing with partners including Aldar, AWS, Highnote, and Mesh. A full launch is expected within a year.
According to Visa Value-Added Services President Andrew Torre, the platform allows businesses to safely and at scale let AI agents make purchases on behalf of consumers.
How Intelligent Commerce Connect Works
The new system serves as a universal gateway for agentic payments. It supports:
- A single integration through the Visa Acceptance Platform
- Tokenization and spend controls
- Compatibility with different payment networks
- Major agentic payment protocols
- Access to product catalogs for AI platforms
This will allow AI agents not only to recommend products but also to find them, pay for them, and complete transactions independently. The agent replaces the user at the checkout stage.

Visa’s Digital Asset Strategy
The launch of Intelligent Commerce Connect is part of Visa’s broader digital asset integration strategy. In 2025, the company opened its network for USDC▼$0.9998 stablecoin settlements over the Solana (SOL) blockchain.
In 2026, together with Stripe, Visa scaled its stablecoin cards to more than 100 countries. The company also joined the Canton Network as a Super Validator to develop private on-chain payments.
