Venture firm Paradigm has announced the launch of its fourth investment fund at $1.2 billion. The capital will be directed toward startups in:
- Cryptocurrency
- Artificial intelligence (AI)
- Robotics
- Other frontier technologies

The fund will continue investing in crypto infrastructure and financial markets while expanding into adjacent fields. Paradigm previously raised more than $4B across three crypto-focused funds. Its crypto portfolio includes Hyperliquid and Kalshi.

Paradigm’s New Fund: From Crypto to AI, Robotics, and Space
Paradigm said its approach remains unchanged: “Research, build, and invest alongside founders — first in crypto, now also in AI, robotics, and other frontier areas.” The fund will support projects at all stages, from early startups to more mature companies.
Non-crypto investments highlighted by Paradigm include:
- Zipline — autonomous drone delivery
- SendCutSend — manufacturing solutions
- True Anomaly — space defense
- Nous Research — open-source AI models
The diversification reflects a strategy of investing in tech sectors showing exponential growth.

Crypto Investments Remain a Priority: Hyperliquid, Kalshi, and Tempo
Despite the expansion, crypto remains central to Paradigm’s focus. The firm confirmed continued support for crypto projects, including:
- Hyperliquid (HYPE) — a decentralized perpetuals exchange
- The Trade[XYZ] developer ecosystem
- Tempo — a stablecoin and AI agent-focused blockchain incubated with Stripe
- Kalshi — the prediction market platform
Paradigm will also continue its internal research and engineering projects: Foundry and Reth blockchain tools, Centaur AI agent tools, and EVMbench, a blockchain security initiative in collaboration with OpenAI.
Founded in 2018 by Matt Huang and Coinbase co-founder Fred Ehrsam, Paradigm has become one of the largest crypto VC firms. By the end of 2025, the firm managed about $12B in assets, with university endowments among its investors.
