We are very excited to announce our latest charitable giving campaign:

We have partnered with The Water Project to raise funds to construct or rehabilitate a water project in Africa.  The Water Project accepts Bitcoins, and their President, Peter Chasse, recently released this "Welcome Cryptos" message - https://thewaterproj...ome-cryptos.php

We have set a goal of the BTC equivalent of $10,000, and have kicked off the campaign by donating 2 BTC from BitGive.

Please read about the campaign here, and consider a donation to this worth project:

Hello Connie, I was a Water / Sanitation volunteer in El Salvador in 1998 - 2000 (US Peace Corps).  If you'd like I can drop the 'Welcome Cryptos' message of the Water Project to my Returned Peace Corps Volunteers group.  Let me know.

Hi Collin,

Yes, that would be great, and please feel free to also share the fundraising page!  So far BitGive is the only contributor ...

Thanks!  Connie

I know how that is Connie! Keep plugging away though.  You'll turn the corner.

I've just posted the Water Project 'Welcome Crypto' and BitGive Foundation links in the Returned Peace Corps Volunteer group. Most of us labored away years, compensated at less than $200 per month, living really out in the sticks on our wits, community connections, friendships, and of course, beans and rice. After Peace Corps we went on to work for nonprofits, or State, or various private endeavors, or to take part in projects that are best characterized as labors of love.  They'll appreciate what you are doing.

Cheers,

Colin

Hello Everyone,

We are welcoming The Water Project to collecting donations in Bitcoin - they recently announced they were accepting cryptocurrencies - and raising funds for clean safe water in a Sub-saharan African community.

Our support for this charity accepting Bitcoin and for bringing clean, safe water to those in need could certainly use some more help.  BitGive kickstarted with 2 BTC and we have received about that much more from the community; however we are at less 30% of our goal.

Recently, the dogecoin community donated over $11k in one transaction to Charity Water and they are currently showing us up, BIG TIME.

Please help prove me right that the Bitcoin community wants to support charities accepting Bitcoin and wants to DEMONSTRATE THE SOCIAL VALUE OF BITCOIN by helping others in developing and 3rd world countries.

Tomorrow is World Water Day - Let's meet our $10K goal and support this charity and a community in Africa!

Please help us do GOOD with Bitcoin!
