  1. Close the foundation?

For three years this operation has been obsessed with internal infighting, complaining, corruption, laziness, power control freaks trying to shut other people up, bad management, and enough other issues to sink any boat. Three years. That's enough. And you're still doing it. Meanwhile you've driven away all the intellectual talent. And it's not coming back. Over that three years this little group has moved from a Board that had people who absconded with other peoples' money to the tune of >500M, to a Board that spent all of the Foundation's own money, in secret, to a Board who brought in a new unpaid Executive Director, to a Board who forced smart people to resign and appointed yes-men. I think it's time to nail the coffin shut. Then bury it deep. But who knows, maybe you have the cojones to dig out.
  2. Board Seat Appointments

Olivier, you do raise and interesting point. Did the then existent board vote to eject, or even to censure, Karpeles. No. The Board stayed 100% silent as did most of the members that worked for or with the Board at that time. Forum admins, for example. Did the Board vote to terminate someone who was voted in by the membership to reform a foundation plagued by corruption? Yes. Olivier Jannsens. ...the fact that I was removed from the board for a sham reason, resulted in destroying whatever credibility the Foundation had left. Noone in their right mind would join a board that removes members, unless gravely warranted. A faith that not even Mark Karpeles suffered, after he performed possibly the biggest crime/theft in Bitcoin's history.... I want to say that I sincerely appreciate the attempt at reforming the Bitcoin Foundation by Harper and Olivier. Thanks. We ever meet up, I will buy the beer. With that said, at this time I resign my lifetime membership. And just think. What better moment to leave a sleazy casino, with low life characters all around, than after pulling the lever of a one armed bandit one final time, and HAVING A POST COUNT OF 777? lol... Good day.
  3. Statement from Bobby Lee on board meeting

    Reddit.
  4. Statement from Bobby Lee on board meeting

Bruce, read my post one more time, please. I do not think I have anything more to say. I say call it quits. Formulate an orderly disorganization plan in accordance with the Bylaws. Determine what if any material on forums or elsewhere may be of future use to the Bitcoin community. Set up a timeframe for steps in the procedure, and do it. This is not "negativism" but simple practicalities. Read it like this. Nobody trusts the Board because of too much stink and the current board certainly has ran through all the money irresponsibly. Nobody wants to give them more money or work because nobody trusts them. They don't have any plan whatsoever. That's it, folks.
  5. Statement from Bobby Lee on board meeting

Bruce. The problem with this is that the "it" as bolded above, and as acknowledged by you and others, is pretty much completely undefined as to purpose, goals, and has a complete lack of action items. This is promoting something which is nothing which makes no sense. Now you've managed to get rid of two reformer Board members. Great. I'd consider it an honor to be kicked out of the legacy organization of Karpeles, thanks. Go ahead, make my day.
  6. Statement from Bobby Lee on board meeting

Speaks volumes, doesn't it. I suggest exchanging email addresses and contact info with friends you may have made within this Foundation, just in case it vanishes overnight. Heard a rumor money was running out. That must be taken pragmatically.
  7. Statement from Bobby Lee on board meeting

I have nothing to add or delete to my suggestion, and your procedural notes change nothing material.

  9. Dismissed by who?

Circle the wagons! There's nothing nice or pretty about the dissolution of an organization. A clean break is much preferred over a long, drawn out decline. The attempt at reform by two members and their forced removal speaks volumes. Meanwhile, Bitcoin doesn't care and is moving according to its own dynamic. Here is the movement of bitcoin, and this is without any sheperding "Overlords." Here is the vision and direction of bitcoinfoundation.org. .........
  10. Best ways to serve both individual and corporate members?

No compromising the protocol. No more needs be said, no questionairre is needed. Not that anyone should care about groups of opinions, anyway.
  11. Finally! Website, forums and quick Update

So it's a very ACTIVE website? LOL...
  12. Islamic Finance Center applying cryptocurrency was opened

How does one go to Russia and not be able to buy ruples? Or was exchange only allowed through Euro or what?
  13. Bitcoin for Seniors

Okay, I notice that Scribd seems now to require a sign in before you can access documents. Did not realize that. Here is the direct link which should work, if not let me know. http://www.scribd.com/doc/236336535/Trust-Tragedy-of-the-Victim
  14. Bitcoin for Seniors

Rewrite all the documents to simply state that when you own bitcoins, you own and have secured private keys, no more or less. Otherwise, you own a "promise to pay", that's all. You don't own bitcoins. For the implications see my paper "Trust - Tragedy of the Victim" on Scribd.
  15. New York State Residents

Hi Theo. Not sure about the wisdom of this. Let me rephrase it. "Give your name and other personal information to the New York Anti-Bitcoin Totalitarian Fascists who are currently running the show." I wouldn't do that.
