Hey everyone,

The new member badges are ready for download!  Thanks to everyone who voted in the forum last week to choose this design.  Feel free to use these badges in forum signatures profiles, email signatures, or anywhere else you want.  To download, click on one of the files below, then hit "save" in the bottom right corner.

I've only included the annual member and lifetime member versions here, as I will send the other files to corporate members and donors as appropriate.  If for some reason you need a different file type or resolution, send me a message, and I'll try to help.  As always, thanks for your membership!

Lindsay

Cool.

FYI, images can't be used in forum signatures on bitcointalk (they are replaced with the text "Image Removed").

Good to know, thank you for the update.  Perhaps the best option there would be to add it on your member profile as your picture, or feel free to use a text link in your signature...

It certainly won't do "as my picture" (instead of my current picture).
It could be miniaturized & then added to my picture as a badge, but I don't think a lot of people will bother with that.

Thanks for the badges Lindsay :)

I have noticed it is a jpg and so it is kind of blurry.
Can we get a PNG version?

I don't mean JPG->PNG conversion, rather export from the original format (assuming non-jpg) to PNG.

BTW. Lindsay, please let the author know, that when he/she changes dimensions from 144x90 to 146x90 they get closer to the golden ratio of 1.618... which then makes those badges even better looking ;)

Hello Lindsay,

you've only uploaded the badges for 'Members' and 'Lifetime Members', but we had 4 other badges for Donors, Platinum, Gold and Silver members.

Why didn't you upload all badges? Does that mean we don't have any members in those categories so far?

See the original post - I am sending those out to companies as they sign up.  The "member" and "lifetime member" badges are for individual members, so distributing here is more effective.

We do have Platinum and Silver members and donors, and we're working on getting a "members" page up on the website with those company logos.

I like the badges. I might have to switch my membership to lifetime instead of annual.

I was thinking the same thing. How do we upgrade our memberships? Just join again?

We only allow upgrades to memberships within the first 30 days after you sign up.  It is a manual process to upgrade you (we are working on making it automated), so please email me with your request to upgrade ([email protected]), and I will send you the amount you need to pay to upgrade and an address for payment.

To be clear, since there are many among us who gladly support the Foundation, can annual members join again (at full price) as lifetime members?

Yes, after 30 days, an annual member can re-join as a lifetime member, but you would pay both fees in full.  Again, just send me an email if you do that so I can update our records manually.  Alternately, you can wait until your renewal date to upgrade to lifetime.

Are the badges copyrighted?

If so, can that be used to submit a take-down against a scammer site that is using the Foundation badge (Platinum, no less) to gain credibility:

The scammer in this instance is a serial scammer:
